FIBER MESH ATTACHMENTS

FIBER MESH ATTACHMENTS

Postby LeeMR on Fri Jan 16, 2009 12:24 pm

Looking for anyone who has had experience with adding a fiber mesh dispensing unit to their truck. I'm currently looking at a company called VM Fiber Feeders (http://www.vmfiberfeeder.com). Their unit is interesting in that the fiber comes on a bobbin, that is fed to a shredder, and is cut and dispensed as needed. Seems like a slick unit, no bags to refill the unit, just pop in a prepackaged bobbin which you don't even have to unwrap. Anyone know about these? Or any other units that have been used successfully?
Thanks,
Lee

Lee,
I've used VM Fiber Feeders for about 4 years with no trouble. I mount them to the front of the cement bin and run a PVC pipe down to the hopper. Then I use a three position switch for off-on-auto and wire one side into a limit switch on the conveyor valve for the automatic function.

I to have used the VM fiber feeder for about 5 years now. Fiber sales iare up about 30% and it is a no brainer for the driver to use. Just turn it on auto and away you go.
